Cosmopolitan Los Cristianos has a long curving sandy beach and is pefect for cheap holidays in Tenerife. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars in the town and Playa de las Americas is a very short drive away and offers a huge nightlife choice. The islands beaches are sandy but slighty darker than normal due to Tenerife`s volcanic nature. 6 beaches on the island received a blue flag for quality.

The Arona Gran Hotel is right on the seafront, facing the old fishing port in the bay of Los Cristianos. The resort centre is just 500 metres away and has a large array of fine restaurants and bars. The rooms overlook the established gardens and pools and there is a good selection of golf courses in the area.

The hotel will be undergoing refurbishment works until the end of November which may produce some noise and dust. The swimming pools and bathrooms in the rooms are being worked on, the work is carried out Monday to Saturday from 8am until 5pm. An adult's and a children's pool will remain open for use.
