The Sandos Playacar Beach Resort Hotel has 460 spacious air conditioned rooms and suites. There is a nearby golf course and motorised water sports at extra charge. Playa del Carmen provides the evening entertainment away from the hotel with plenty of lively bars and a laid back atmosphere.

Eating and Drinking

There are numerous restaurants and bars available throughout the resort. The hotels All Inclusive programme consists of breakfast from 7am to 10.30am, lunch from 12.30pm until 3pm and dinner between 6.30pm and 10pm, all buffet style and served in the main restaurant La Laguna as well as at the El Bandido with international and Mexican buffet. Buffet dinner is also served at the Italian restaurant from 6.30 until 10pm. AI guests can also enjoy three A la Carte restaurants for dinner between 6.30pm until 9.30pm, upon reservation - La Riviera for Mediterranean specialties with salads and a dessert bar, the El Gaucho grill/steakhouse with salads and dessert bar,and finally an Oriental restaurant. During meals water, soda, beer, wine, coffee and milk are available. Snacks such as hot dogs, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and French fries are available at the beach bar between 12pm and 5pm, at the pool snack bar between 12pm and 5pm and at the La Plaza bar between 10.30pm and 7pm. Tea time is at 5pm. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, orange juice, whiskey, brandy, cocktails, beer, soft drinks, soda, mineral water, coffee and milk are served at all the ten bars of the property between 11am and 2 am as well as at the restaurants during meals and at the disco. 24hrs room service is also available.
