Location and Resort
The region of La Romana - Bayahibe is known for its numerous catamarans and brightly coloured wooden fishing boats. Bayahibe is a small fishing village with the gorgeous beaches, a picturesque harbour and a traditional Dominican atmosphere. The village has one main street, and a handful of smaller streets off it, with small restaurants and bars serving a variety of local Dominican dishes. Only a short trip from Bayahibe is Isla Catalina, an uninhabited island and the ideal place to relax and enjoy unspoilt Caribbean nature and some of the finest snorkelling and scuba diving in the region.
