The Sunscape Casa del Mar is on the south east coast of the Dominican Republic, in the La Romana area of Bayahibe. Location and Resort
Bayahibe is a great choice for a holiday on the Dominican’s Caribbean south coast with 2 beautiful beaches, the Bayahibe and Dominicus, both offering soft, white sand edged with palm trees. Bayahibe is a tiny fishing and diving village which has a picturesque harbour filled with numerous catamarans and wonderfully coloured wooden fishing boats. The village has one main street, and a handful of smaller streets off it, with small restaurants and bars serving a variety of local Dominican dishes. Only a short trip from Bayahibe is Isla Catalina, an uninhabited island and the ideal place to relax and enjoy unspoilt Caribbean nature and some of the finest snorkelling and scuba diving in the region.

The hotel has 8 restaurants, 7 a la carte and 1 buffet style and 7 bars. Among the a la carte options are Italian, Oriental and Mexican cuisine. Please note that certain buildings within this hotel are being renovated throughout summer 2008 with an estimated completion date of August 15th, however all measures have been taken to minimize any disruption. The construction will be hidden and will not cause any disturbance to guests. The hotel is also undertaking some building work which is located outside the resort, away from all the facilities with an estimated completion date of November 14th 2008. The hotel would like to stress that none of this work affects the normal operation of the hotel.
