The Gambia�s beaches are long, sandy and generally clean, however the sea can have changing currents, and it is always worth checking the warning flags or asking locally. Koto beach is possibly the busiest beach along this coast; many tourists enjoy the endless sand and bars. If you after quieter areas on your Gambia holidays with little or no interruption by tourists or local sellers, try going South of Kololi beach, the area is generally very quiet and well worth exploring.
