Location and Resort
Agia Pelagia is 12 miles west of Heraklion and has a narrow beach running around the bay edged with tavernas. Shopping consists of souvenirs, gold and silver shops, internet cafes, an ATM and supermarkets. Agia Pelagia, an ideal location for water sports including water-skiing, wind surfing and canoeing. The area has a regular bus service for those who want to explore further afield. Nightlife is quieter with no large clubs but a few bars and cafes.
Swimming Pools
There is a main swimming pool and children’s pool with 2 further relaxation pools in different parts of the grounds. Sunbeds and parasols are available around the pool area free of charge.
Eating and Drinking
The main restaurant Amvrosia offers buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner along with panoramic views. The Dionysos Bar is a great place to relax with a cooling drink and enjoy the spectacular view of Mononaftis Bay. Breeze is the main poolside snack bar and Panorama is the second poolside snack bar by the pool at the Athina Bungalows in the hotel grounds. Finally there is an A la Carte Restaurant with special dishes from Greek, Italian and international cuisine.
