The gulf of Ialyssos is on the northwestern side of the island and has many new-classical buildings and mansions, a superb sand and shingle beach and the Acropolis of Ialyssos on top of Mount Filerimos. Ialyssos combines modern and ancient Rhodes and has an enviable sun record with up to 300 days a year.
