Location and Resort
The centre of this historical city is dividing into six quarters – San Marco, Dorsoduro, San Polo, Santa Croce, Cannaregio and Castello. Visitors can explore each quarter by hopping on a gondola and traveling down the Grand Canal, which intersects each district. Along the narrow canals are many small traditional wine bars and intimate restaurants packed with locals and tourists.
Swimming Pools
The hotel does not have a swimming pool but there is a spa available to all hotel guests attached to the Bauer Palladio on Giudecca Island. Guests can reach the spa using the hotels private eco solar shuttle boat.
Eating and Drinking
De Pisis, the Bauer's gourmet restaurant is augmented with the exquisite nature of terrace seating along one of the most spectacular sites in the world, Venice's Grand Canal, with a view of the famous Chiesa di Santa Maria della Salute in the distance. And for those who prefer the intimacy of interiors, the dining room is elaborately furnished in a style reminiscent of Venice's past. The food is fresh with good use of distinct flavours with Mediterranean essences and a dash of Asian influence. From Tuesday to Sunday there is also an elegant cocktail bar and lounge with lively evening entertainment and in summer a second bar with outdoor terrace opens so guests can enjoy the spectacular views.
