The Hotel Fortina Spa Resort is the 5 star area of the Hotel Fortina. It has a separate reception and enjoys a series of privileges not available to guests staying in the sister hotel. Location and Resort
The Fortina Spa resort is located on the harbour front at Sliema, with views in the distance of the iconic dome in Valetta. The promenade takes you into Sliema town centre with plenty of shops to satisfy the avid consumer. The nightlife and beachfront promenade of St Julians Bay are 2 miles away.
Swimming Pools
There are 4 swimming pools, including 2 right on the waterfront with views of Valletta. There is also a children's pool and an indoor pool and spa tub.
Eating and Drinking
There are 7 restaurants and 4 bars. The main restaurant is the La Valette buffet restaurant with frequent themed evenings. Other options include fine dining in the Sa Ra Ge Ma with genuine Indian cusine, Can Thai for all your favourites from Thailand, Tigne Brasserie has Mediterrannean dishes, Hibiki is the specialist Japanese with Tepanyaki hot plate, Giardino Pizzeria is the one for pizzas and other Italian fare. The latest addition is Taste from the well know chef Tom Kime offering Asian cuisine prinicipally from Vietnam. Guests staying in 5 accommodation pay no supplement to dine a la carte at Taste. Those staying in 4 rooms may eat from a set menu. The Garden bar is indoor looking out over the gardens. the Island bar is located on the island between the swiming pool and doubles as a 'swim-up' bar (open summer only). The Coctail bar, located close to the Lido is the venue for evening entertainment. The Lido bar looks out over the harbour at sea level (open summer only).
