The hotel overlooks the fantastic beach and is 15 minutes from Cancun`s downtown area. The local area offers many interesting excursions such as a boat trip to the nearby island of `Isla Mujeres` or a visit to one of the famous Mayan ruins such as Chichen Itza or Tulum. Cancun's climate is tropical and humid with temperatures between 26 and 36 degrees.
Swimming Pools
The hotel has two gorgeous, free-form pools, the more active pool is located near the beach and plays host to different activities to appeal to all ages including scuba lessons. The Trade Winds Beach Bar, Gaviotas International Cuisine Restaurant and Bar and the Health and Sushi Snack Bar flank this popular pool area. The other pool is located on the lagoon side of the hotel, near the Lobby Bar and offers a Jacuzzi on the nearby deck. Both pools are surrounded by expansive sundecks with comfortable lounge chairs so you can relax and soak up the Caribbean sunshine. The pool also has superb in-water loungers.
Eating and Drinking
The hotel has a total of 6 restaurants and 8 bars including Gaviotas, the casual beachfront restaurant and bar with buffet and show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner, featuring pasta, seafood and vegetarian dishes.
