The Hotel Playaballena is in a good spot, directly on the magnificent beach of Costa Ballena, about 4 miles from Rota, on the road to Chipiona. The city of Cadiz is approximately 30 miles away from the hotel, and the international airport of Jerez is only 40 miles away. It is of course also accessible from Faro or even Malaga. Standard double rooms can only sleep 2 adults and 2 children.

The Hotel Playaballena is a great spot for a beach holiday, away from the normal tourist type resorts. There are 324 rooms in total.

There is a large swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool heated from 15/10 until 15/05.

Eating and Drinking

There is a buffet restaurant, bar, lounge bar, pool bar, theatre bar and a beach club bar. The All Inclusive option includes breakfast from 8am to 10.30am, lunch from 1.30pm to 4pm and dinner between 7pm and 10.30pm, all buffet style offering a variety of dishes, served in the main restaurant. During meals water, soft drinks, and table wine are offered. A variety of savoury snacks are served at the bar between 11am and 1pm and drinks from 8am to midnight (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks).
