The Laurisilva Apartments is 500 metres from the dark sand and rock beach in the tourist area of Valle del Gran Rey. The Valle Gran Rey area is situated around a large ravine stretching from the centre of the island down to the sea, on the west coast of La Gomera.

The complex has 108 rooms in total. There are many small villages in the valley, including La Puntilla and La Playa and 3 beaches La Playa, Playa del Ingles and Playa de Argaga. The small fishing village of Vueltas has ferry services to San Sebastian, the main port on La Gomera, and Los Cristianos on Tenerife.
